Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Our school hall was transformed into a polling station on Friday for our school council elections. Six candidates from each class put themselves 'into the running' and pupils voted via secret ballot for their preferred two candidates.
Congratulations to the following pupils who will form our School Council this year:
Class 1: Nellie and Dylan D
Class 2: Ayla and Cody
Class 3: Poppy and Finley
Class 4: Harriet and Freddie
Class 5: Jeamina and John
Class 6: Chloe and Gabriel
Champions! The boys will now go forward to represent our district in the Small Schools semi final. Congratulations boys, this is a fantastic achievement!

We had a wonderful day on Tuesday learning more about the game of golf. A big thank you to the sport assistants and Mrs Ayers who organised it.

On Tuesday the first competition of the year kicked off with the Year 5 boys football tournament.
With healthy competition in our group, we won the 1st and 2nd game 1-0 with both goals coming from Jacob T. Unfortunately, a strong opposition from St Mary's saw us defeated 3-0. However the boys’ heads didn't drop and we won our last group match 5-0 with goals from Jacob T (3), Alex (1) and Evan (1).
These results saw us achieving best runner up and we went into the semis and played a very strong Brentwood Prep. We went 1-0 down shortly into game; however, after getting fouled, Harry took an absolute screamer of a free kick which brought us level 1-1. Brentwood then scored in the last min which meant we then had to play for 3/4 place against Hutton All Saints. The boys, gaining confidence, went on the attack right from 1st minute, and after three close attempts, we finally went 1-0 up and claimed the bronze medal.
Brilliant play all round with superb skills in the middle from John C and Michael, and Solomon in goal who made some great saves.
The standard of play was outstanding with over 150 pupils attending so congratulations to our team for their bronze medal. We were very impressed with all of you.

On Wednesday we took part in an archery competition. Four pupils from Year 3 competed in the morning with Year 6 taking over in the afternoon.
Both teams had a great time learning new skills and realising it's not as easy as it looks! They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Well done to Marnie, Olivia, Finley and Saha (year 3) and Seb, Edward, Layla and Marina (year 6)
We held our first parent coffee morning this morning - thank you to all those who came and to the members of staff who helped set it all up. It was an opportunity to meet our new headteacher, Mrs Poulter and to find out more about her vision for the school.
We also heard from the new chair of the PTA, Mrs Meehan, who has a daughter in Class 3, as well as from our SENco, Mrs Baker.
Please see the 'Other Letters and Information' tab for Mrs Poulter's presentation.
