At St Joseph the Worker Catholic Primary School we believe that all children have the right to an education which allows them, as an individual to flourish and thrive. Everyone should feel safe, secure, valued and of equal worth. We endeavour to ensure that all of our children should be able to access everything the school has to offer, regardless of their individual needs.
We believe early understanding and identification is crucial for children with a special need or disability. Staff work in partnership with parents, pupils and where needed outside agencies to monitor, assess, plan and provide the best education possible for each individual child.
A child has Special Educational Needs if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special education provision to be made for them. This support can be in any of the four broad areas of Special Educational Needs
If you have any concerns about your child, please speak to your child’s class teacher or our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, Mrs Reynolds.
