St Joseph the Worker

Catholic Primary School

Ofsted report

We are thrilled to announce that St Joseph the Worker Catholic Primary School has been judged a GOOD school by Ofsted. This positive outcome reflects the dedication of our staff, the invaluable support from our parents and carers, and, most importantly, the wonderful spirit of our children.

Our visitors often remark on the warmth and kindness of both our children and staff, and we are pleased that the Ofsted report highlighted this as well, stating, St Joseph the Worker is a warm and inviting place to learn… Pupils share the school values of 'we learn, we care, we listen, and we share' with pride."

The report also recognised the skills and commitment of our staff, noting that “The school has high expectations for pupils to achieve in all aspects of school life. Pupils achieve well as a result… Staff explain learning clearly and concisely… and pupils thrive on the fun learning activities that staff prepare for them."

Of course, the report also identified areas for improvement, which we had already included in our school development plan. We are continuously working to provide an engaging and aspirational curriculum that encourages every child to be the best they can be, to make good progress in their learning and, of course, to be 'JOY'ful.
