Bright Sparks
Everyday people are working together to learn about how to help others and our world through science.
Here are some further resources to explore at home:
The Curious Why - An Animated Read Aloud with Moving Pictures (KS1)
If it's one of those days, never fear: Your new friend the Curious Why will show you that there's always something new to discover about the world around you! Do you want to know where the dinosaurs went? How crayons are made? Or what makes a bee sting?
What is a Scientist?
Scientists learn about their subject by observing, describing, and experimenting and these are key lessons that are being taught to schools to encourage take up of science related subjects. The Trio Sci Cymru project at Cardiff University will deliver STEM engagement activities to KS3 students throughout the South Wales Valleys.
Ada Twist, Scientist - An Animated Read Aloud with Moving Pictures! *Includes a Classroom Activity*
Ada Twist's head is full of questions. Like her classmates Iggy and Rosie (stars of their own New York Times bestselling picture books Iggy Peck, Architect and Rosie Revere, Engineer), Ada has always been endlessly curious. Even when her fact-finding missions and elaborate scientific experiments don't go as planned, Ada learns the value of thinking through problems and continuing to stay curious.
