Welcome to St Joseph the Worker Catholic Primary School, where every child is known, valued and loved as a unique child of God.

We are much more than a school; we are a family and a faith-filled community built on love, respect and service. Our Catholic faith lies at the heart of everything we do, shaping our relationships, our learning and the way we care for one another. Inspired by the example of Jesus Christ, we strive to nurture children who are confident, compassionate and prepared to make a positive difference in the world.

This mission is brought to life through our four core values of Curiosity, Courage, Respect and Love.

We encourage our children to be curious learners who embrace new opportunities and develop a lifelong love of learning. We inspire them to show courage, facing challenges with resilience and standing up for what is right. We teach them to treat others with respect, recognising the dignity and value of every person. Above all, we nurture a culture of love, helping our children to see Christ in others and reflect His love through their words and actions.

As Headteacher, I often speak to the children about my two favourite words:

LOVE and JOY (Jesus, Others, Yourself)

These simple words capture the essence of our school community. By putting Jesus first, caring for others and valuing ourselves as God does, we create a place where children flourish spiritually, academically, socially and emotionally.

Our aim is not only to help children achieve their very best academically, but also to help them grow into kind, thoughtful and responsible young people who live out Gospel values in their daily lives. We want every child to leave us with a love of learning, a strong sense of self-worth and the confidence to contribute positively to their communities.

As parents and carers, you are your child's first and most important educators. We greatly value the partnership between home, school and parish, and we look forward to working alongside you to help every child reach their full potential.

Above all, we hope that every member of our community experiences the love of God, feels a sense of belonging and lives each day with joy.
